Your Staple Streusel Recipe

Did you know that there is a FAST, foolproof, AND delicious recipe that will take ANY sweet-baked treat to the next level of taste-bud ecstasy!? Your read that right…ANY! Im talking about streusel topping!

If you’re looking to take your recipe to the next level, this decadent crumble will not only wow any who taste it, but it is squick and easy to whip up!

 

 

Streusel

1 cup almond flour

1/3 cup Sugar, see links for 0-glycemic, coconut or maple below

2 tsp cinnamon, linked below

1/3 cup cold butter, cut into small pieces

pinch sea salt

 

 

Instructions

1. In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the almond flour, sugar, cinnamon and salt.

 2. Add butter and blend together with a fork or pastry cutter until a crumbly topping forms.

 3. Use a spoon or your fingertips to drop dollops of crumble all over the top of your batter. 

 

 

*If you would like crumble to be incorporated into your batter:

Pour or spoon half of the batter into your baking dish followed by half of the crumble mixture.  Spread evenly. Add remaining batter and top with remaining crumble.

 

 

Kick it up a notch

Chopped walnuts, pecans, and slivered almonds are make great additions for added flavor and crunch. Add 1/4 cup of one, two or all three!
